The Sun, Kate-spotting (the photo is an old photograph):
"A witness at the farm shop in Windsor said: 'I was stunned ... Kate was out shopping with William and she looked happy and she looked well. The kids weren’t with them but it’s such a good sign she was healthy enough to pop down to the shops.'”

Donald Trump has had his political cronies show up at his hush-money trial.
And it turns out
🔥he has been editing what they would say on his behalf,
🔥a seemingly obvious violation of his gag order.
One of the journalists covering the trial says the former president was “editing” and “making notations” to the speeches his allies made outside of the courtroom Tuesday.

Lista on selvästikin pitkä.

Content warning: General subtoot of nothing in particular

A couple of simple reminders for dealing with a not so simple world:
- People you don't like sometimes tell the truth.
- It is not the case that the good guys always do everything right and the bad guys always do everything wrong.
- Or that everyone is clearly, obviously, one or the other.
- People who are right about one thing can be wrong about another thing.
- You can be wrong sometimes too.
- So can I.

so apparently that phrase i've often been hearing recently isn't actually about a "sorted past". instead, the past in question has been "sordid" all along. now, "sorted" at least is clearly a word, and my way of making sense of if was to think the past in question had a assortment of things in it, good and bad. like a spotted past but perhaps more varied.
